Thermal Performance Ratings

Currently, the minimum U-Value rating for windows (our climate zone) to meet Energy Star requirements is 0.30. However, The U.S. Enviromental Protection Agency has released the new minimum U-Value requirement of 0.27 that is going to take effect January 1,2016. When you are comparing performance ratings of different window models or brands, we encourage you to compare them, as we do, to the Energy Star requirements that will be effective in 2016.
